Season 2 of Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition set to commence on Dec. 5

Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition Season 2 Set to Start on Dec. 5

The Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition Season 2 is prepared to kick off on December 5th. This professional esports competition will take place entirely online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. NetherRealm Studios, the developer behind Mortal Kombat 11, made this announcement recently.

This second season of the Pro Kompetition will feature a total prize pool of $60,000, which will be divided among the winners of various online regional and continental championships. The competition will be divided into four distinct regions: Intercontinental, North America, Europe, and Latin America. Each region will have its own set of qualification opportunities and prize pool.

The Pro Kompetition will be a double elimination tournament with a best-of-five format for all matches. It will be open to all players who are at least 18 years old and reside in the specified regions. The competition will employ the PlayStation 4 version of Mortal Kombat 11.

To participate, players must register on the official Pro Kompetition website and ensure their PlayStation 4 usernames are linked to their accounts. The registration window will be open from November 18th to December 4th, with the first week of matches scheduled to commence on December 5th.

The Pro Kompetition follows the competitive mode used in previous seasons, which includes different league categories such as Elder God, Demi-God, God, and Titan. The top four players in each league category will advance to the regional finals, where they will compete for a piece of the prize money.

The regional championships will culminate with the Interkontinental Kombat, an event that features the top two players from each region. The Interkontinental Kombat will be an offline tournament, but this year it will be held online due to the ongoing pandemic. The winners will receive bonus prize money.

This season of the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition aims to provide a platform for both amateur and professional players to showcase their skill. It promises an exciting display of Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay and intense competition among some of the best fighting game players in the world. So mark your calendars and get ready for the action-packed battles starting on December 5th!
