The Walking Dead’s Negan joins Tekken 7 cast

Tekken 7, the popular fighting game developed by Bandai Namco, has announced the addition of a new character to its roster. The famous villain from The Walking Dead series, Negan, will join the game as a playable character.

Negan, portrayed by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the TV show, carries his signature weapon, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he affectionately calls “Lucille.” In the game, Negan retains his tough and intimidating persona, bringing his brutal style of combat to the world of Tekken.

The announcement was made during the Evo 2018 fighting game tournament. Tekken 7 producer, Katsuhiro Harada, expressed his excitement about the crossover and explained that Negan’s inclusion is a result of collaboration with the creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman.

The trailer showcasing Negan’s introduction to the game features the character’s likeness, including his iconic jacket, scarf, and bat. It also includes a brief glimpse of some of Negan’s moves and abilities.

With Negan’s addition, Tekken 7 continues its tradition of incorporating crossover characters from popular franchises. Previously, the game has welcomed characters from other games such as Street Fighter and Fatal Fury, adding depth and variety to its roster.

Fans of both Tekken and The Walking Dead expressed their enthusiasm for Negan’s inclusion. Many are eager to see how his unique playstyle and iconic catchphrases, such as “I hope you’ve got your shittin’ pants on,” will be incorporated into the game.

The DLC featuring Negan is scheduled for release in Winter 2018. Players can anticipate new gameplay options and an exciting addition to the Tekken 7 universe.
