Multiple fighting games will be free to play this weekend to celebrate Evo 2018

EVO hosting free week and sale for Street Fighter V

The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) is celebrating the upcoming Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition release by offering a free week to both PlayStation 4 and PC players. The free week begins on Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. CT and concludes on Jan. 15 at 12 p.m. CT.
During this period, players will have access to the full Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition roster, which includes 28 characters. Additionally, all 16 DLC characters from seasons one and two will be available for free. This is a great opportunity for players who have not had the chance to try out these characters before.
In addition to the free week, a sale will also take place during this time. Players can purchase the base version of Street Fighter V for 50% off, which brings the price down to $19.99 on both the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. The offer is available via the PlayStation Store and Steam.
This special promotion not only allows new players to experience Street Fighter V, but is also a way for veterans to possibly try out characters they have not unlocked yet. It is important to note that any progress made during the free week will be carried over if players decide to purchase the game afterwards.
The Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition release is scheduled for Jan. 16. This version of the game will introduce some new features including the highly anticipated Arcade Mode, Team Battle Mode, and Extra Battle Mode. Various balance changes and new V-Triggers for each character will also be included.
If you have yet to try Street Fighter V or are interested in purchasing it at a discounted price, now is the time to jump into the game. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get a taste of the action-packed world of Street Fighter before the Arcade Edition arrives.
