Joker joins the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster

The highly anticipated release of the first paid downloadable content fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has arrived earlier than expected. Joker, the stylish protagonist from Persona 5, has joined the ever-expanding roster of the popular fighting game.

In an unexpected announcement during The Game Awards in December 2018, it was revealed that Joker, along with his unique Persona Arsene, would be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Originally, the release of this new character was anticipated for April 2019. However, Nintendo pulled off a surprise by unleashing Joker a few days earlier.

The DLC pack called Challenger Pack 1 includes not only Joker but also a new stage named Mementos and 11 music tracks from Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5. Additionally, players who purchase the DLC will receive a new route, Classic Mode route, and a new Fighter Spirit.

Joker brings a fresh playstyle to the game with his agility and a range of unique moves. He is equipped with a grappling hook, a knife, and a gun, making him a versatile fighter. His Final Smash, “All-Out Attack,” showcases the immense power of the Phantom Thieves, dealing damage to all opponents on the stage.

The addition of Persona 5’s Joker to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not only significant for the fighting game community but also for the esports scene. This move demonstrates Nintendo’s commitment to expanding its roster to include popular characters from various gaming franchises.

As fans of both Persona 5 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate rejoice, they can now engage in thrilling battles using Joker’s agility and unique combat skills.
