Smash Ultimate and Melee take center stage at Genesis 6

Wolf, Pikachu, and Captain Falcon are some of the top-tier characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that dominated the Genesis 6 tournament held in Oakland Convention Center.

Genesis 6, one of the most awaited events in the Super Smash Bros. competitive scene, showcased talented players and exciting matches. Hungrybox, the world’s best Smash Bros. Melee player, secured his win for the third time at Genesis.

In Smash Ultimate, an intense Grand Finals match ensued between Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey, using Wario, and Leonardo “MKLeo” Perez, bringing out his formidable Wolf. Despite a strong performance, Tweek was unable to overcome MKLeo’s Wolf, resulting in a 3-0 victory for MKLeo.

Coming in third place was William “Glutonny” Belaid, showcasing his dominance with Wario. Also worthy of mention is the impressive run by Isami “T” Ikeda, who finished in fourth place using his Pikachu.

As for Melee, Hungrybox emerged victorious and continued his dominance. After a grueling winner’s bracket run, he faced off against Axe in the finals. Using Jigglypuff, Hungrybox put up a strong fight, ultimately securing a 3-2 victory against Axe’s Pikachu.

The Genesis 6 tournament was a spectacle for both Smash Ultimate and Melee fans, with close matches and nail-biting moments. The competition showcased the immense skill and dedication of the players and left the audience craving for more exhilarating gameplay.
