Diablo 4 Season 4 Postponed, PTR Launching in Early April for Valuable Feedback

Diablo 4 Season Four Delayed for PTR Feedback Period

Diablo 4’s highly anticipated season four has been postponed by a month to make way for a public test realm (PTR) feedback period, according to an announcement by Blizzard today. This decision aims to gather feedback and input from players regarding upcoming changes for season four. As a result, the PTR will be operational from April 2 to 9, pushing the start of season four to May.

During the recent Campfire Chat, Adam Fletcher, the community development director for Diablo 4, explained the reasoning behind the delay. He stated, “Season three is gonna be extended because we want to make sure we grab all the feedback from this PTR and all the feedback from the community, and we have enough time to actually implement that for season four.” This shows Blizzard’s commitment to taking player feedback into consideration in order to enhance the gaming experience.

The extended timeline between season three’s end and season four’s beginning, which now both occur on May 14, provides ample opportunities for the community to contribute their opinions. Future updates will unveil further details about the upcoming season, including class changes, adjustments to itemization, and modifications to endgame activities.

To keep players informed, a comprehensive blog post will be released next week, outlining all the significant patch notes for season four, including the aforementioned changes highlighted during the Campfire Chat. This presents an exciting prospect for players to anticipate as they approach the end of March.

Although season four will not kick off as initially planned, there is a silver lining. Players will have the chance to experience a preview of the upcoming season through the PTR and provide invaluable feedback to Blizzard. This collaboration between developers and players ensures that season four will be the best it can be when it finally launches approximately a month later.

In addition to the season four delay, an upcoming separate update for Diablo 4 is scheduled for release on March 26. This update introduces ray tracing, a cutting-edge technology that enhances the game’s visuals and realism.
