Xbox Series X Smart Delivery Program Offers Free Upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt Red has announced that owners of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will receive a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of the game when it becomes available. This move takes advantage of Xbox’s newly-announced Smart Delivery program.
Eliminating Double Purchases
Gamers will no longer have to worry about purchasing the same game twice or paying for upgrades. With Smart Delivery, players can buy Cyberpunk 2077 once and play it on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X without purchasing an additional copy.
Backward Compatibility Across Generations
Not only does the Xbox Series X offer the Smart Delivery program, but it also allows backward compatibility across four generations of consoles. This means players can enjoy Series X, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox games on the new system.
Release Date and Pricing
The exact release date and pricing for the Xbox Series X have not been announced yet, but it is slated to launch during the holiday season. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PC and current consoles on September 17th.
