Microsoft to discontinue unique refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 by July 6

Microsoft Ends Special Refund Policy for Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 has recently been making headlines for various reasons. One of the latest developments is Microsoft’s announcement to terminate its special refund policy for the game on July 6.

In response to the game’s chaotic launch, which was marred by technical and graphical issues, especially on consoles, Microsoft had implemented this refund policy. The backlash was so severe that the game was entirely pulled from the PlayStation Store shortly after its release.

While Microsoft did not remove the game from the Xbox Marketplace and Microsoft Store, they did offer refunds to digital purchasers who were dissatisfied with their experience.

CD Projekt Red, the developers of Cyberpunk, have been steadily improving the game across all platforms. Recently, Sony re-listed the game on the PlayStation Store, and now Microsoft is reverting its refund policy back to normal.

Under Microsoft’s standard refund policy for digital software, most purchases are not eligible for refunds after 14 days, and submitting a request does not guarantee reimbursement. For more information on the policies and details, visit the official Xbox support website. However, it is still not recommended to play Cyberpunk on Xbox One or PS4.
