Making the Best Choice and Outcome in Cyberpunk 2077’s ‘Dream On’: What to tell Jefferson?

What is the Dream On quest in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC?

Dream On, a sidequest in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, becomes available after completing the I Fought the Law sidequest for mayoral candidate Jefferson Peralez.

Jefferson calls you and asks you to meet him at his Charter Hill apartment. He claims someone broke in and he shot them, but security says it was just a dream. Your task is to investigate and uncover the truth.

Using your scanner, you find a hidden area in the apartment’s TV room. With a high Body stat, you can force open the door. Otherwise, you have to find a code in the security room to deactivate the lock on a computer.

You discover that the security team was spying on Jefferson, but it’s much worse—they’re brainwashing him. An unknown entity has chipped their brains to control Jefferson for political power.

Elizabeth, Jefferson’s wife, confesses at a ramen spot that she suspects what you found is true and that her memory has been erased. She begs you not to tell Jefferson and plans to tell him that security was spying for his rival.

What should you tell Jefferson at the end of the Dream On quest in Cyberpunk 2077?

If you tell Jefferson the truth, he reacts with disbelief and eventually goes mad. If you keep the secret and tell him his rival was spying on him, he goes on with his life without realizing he’s been brainwashed. The choice doesn’t have concrete effects on gameplay.
