If you have a high Technical Ability score in Cyberpunk 2077, the Cellular Adapter Cyberware is a must-have.
After the Update 2.0, the Cyberware system in Cyberpunk 2077 underwent a complete overhaul. Returning players received a call and a quest from Viktor, their favorite ripperdoc, to explain all the changes. Cyberware now determines the armor, but players need to manage their Cyberware capacity.
The Cellular Adapter fits in the Integumentary System slot and provides a significant amount of armor and stat boosts related to your Technical Ability score. Each attribute point of Technical Ability increases explosion resistance, Tech weapon damage, Health Item recharge speed, and grenade recharge speed for players with the Cellular Adapter.
Finding the Cellular Adapter in Cyberpunk 2077 is easy, but there’s one requirement to fulfill before adding it to your collection.
How to find and equip the Cellular Adapter Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077
You can purchase the Cellular Adapter Cyberware from any Ripperdoc, but you must unlock the Built Different perk to equip it.
The Built Different perk is located in the upper section of the Technical Ability perk tree, requiring at least a nine in Technical Ability to access it. You also need to unlock some previous perks before unlocking Built Different. First, you need:
- Two levels of the All Things Cyber perk.
- This will also give you a 10% increase to all Cyberware stat modifiers and a 20% reduced Cyberware capacity cost for pieces installed in the Integumentary System and the Skeleton.
- Three levels of the License to Chrome perk.
- This will also give you an additional 10% increase to all Cyberware stat modifiers, 40 points of Armor, and an additional Cyberware slot in the Skeleton.
To unlock Built Different, you need a Technical Ability score of at least nine and six perk points. You can purchase and install the Cellular Adapter at any time, but you won’t receive the key bonuses without the Built Different perk.
