Guide: Acquiring the Erebus Iconic Weapon in Cyberpunk 2077

How to Get the Erebus Weapon in Cyberpunk 2077

In Cyberpunk 2077, the Erebus iconic weapon is considered one of the best. But how can you obtain this powerful submachine gun? Below is a quick guide that will walk you through the process. (Spoilers for Phantom Liberty.)

How Do You Get the Erebus in Cyberpunk 2077?

To acquire the Erebus iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll need to choose a specific path at the end of the Phantom Liberty DLC. During the Firestarter mission, you’ll have three options: siding with Songbird and helping her escape, killing Reed, or siding with Reed and capturing Songbird.

If you choose to side with Reed, you’ll gain access to the Somewhat Damaged quest, where you will find the Erebus weapon.

Where Do You Find the Erebus in Cyberpunk 2077?

It’s important to note that the Erebus can only be obtained during the most difficult part of the Somewhat Damaged mission. In this mission, you’ll be tracking down Songbird by following the residue of her Blackwall infection.

Towards the end of the mission, while you’re running away from an AI robot trying to kill you, you’ll come across the Erebus as you approach the Sierra terminal. Make sure to head towards the “Maintenance” room instead of going straight to the Sierra terminal, as you’ll find the schematic to make the Erebus inside.

However, the door to the Maintenance room is locked and can be challenging to open. If your Technical Ability is at least 20, you can reroute power from the Storage room to unlock it. If your Technical Ability is lower than 20, there is no other way to access the room and you won’t be able to obtain the Erebus schematic. So, it’s recommended to increase your Tech before starting this mission.

Once you’ve restored power and opened the door, you’ll find the Erebus schematic in a briefcase. You’ll also need Cerberus’ Decoded Behavioral System Component in order to craft this weapon.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to complete the quest involving Cerberus, the AI robot chasing you, before you can craft the Erebus. Additionally, you’ll need Tier 4 crafting components.
