Fans believe that Cyberpunk 2077 will become their ultimate RPG game following the 2.0 update.

Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Excited for 2.0 Update

Many fans of Cyberpunk 2077 are eagerly looking forward to replaying the game when CD Projekt Red releases the 2.0 update to Night City on Sept. 21.

There are two main reasons for this excitement. When Cyberpunk 2077 was initially released in December 2020, the game was practically unplayable for many players, especially those on PC, due to poor optimization and numerous bugs. It took months for CD Projekt Red to address these issues and convince players to give the game another chance.

The second reason fans are eager to return or join Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City is the promised major overhaul with the 2.0 update. This update will bring new weapons, a more realistic police system, a reworked cyberware system, and a new skill tree.

Despite its flaws, players have continued to play Cyberpunk 2077 up to this day and will likely play even more after the 2.0 update is released.

One redditor wrote, “I only need 300 more hours for 1k, even with its flaws, [Cyberpunk 2077] is still my favorite single-player game of all time.” Another redditor expressed a similar sentiment, saying, “I’m in the same boat, 300 hours out, I refuse to uninstall because I know I’ll jump back in eventually.”

Players are also happy that CD Projekt RED is releasing the 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 on Sept. 21 instead of Sept. 26, the same day the game’s first expansion, Phantom Liberty, will be released.

This gives players a few days to familiarize themselves with the new features and get acquainted with Night City before diving into Phantom Liberty.

It should be noted that CD Projekt RED needs the 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty DLC to run smoothly from day one, as the company cannot afford another disastrous launch.

Filip Pierściński, the lead scene programmer at CD Projekt RED, promised that Cyberpunk 2077 will perform “well” with recommended hardware. However, this promise will only hold true if the new content lives up to expectations.
