Enhanced Graphics: Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition Arrives on PC with Added Enhancements

CD Projekt Red Announces Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition with Nvidia-Powered Visual Overhaul

CD Projekt Red has revealed the launch of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Dec. 5. This new version of the game includes all the content and the Phantom Liberty expansion, along with a “visual overhaul” powered by Nvidia.

According to Nvidia, this release showcases the technical and graphical enhancements that Cyberpunk 2077 has received during its lifecycle, making it not only a game but also a glimpse into the future of PC gaming. The Ultimate Edition incorporates major Nvidia features like full ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction, and NVIDIA Reflex.

Revolutionary Graphics with Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode

One of the standout graphical features in Cyberpunk 2077 is Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode, also known as path tracing or full ray tracing. With Overdrive Mode, every neon sign, street lamp, and LED billboard in the game is fully ray-traced, resulting in enhanced shadows, depth, and detail in the lighting. Combining that with ray reconstruction, this makes Cyberpunk 2077 the ultimate RTX experience. Additionally, the Ultimate Edition includes DLSS and Reflex, two widely-used features that improve game performance and responsiveness.

In addition to these features, the Ultimate Edition incorporates engine optimizations, under-the-hood tech enhancements, and tailored Game Ready Drivers. This extensive partnership between CD Projekt Red and Nvidia aims to raise the bar for video games.

System Requirements and Cloud Gaming Option

To fully experience Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, you will need a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card. While older GPUs can handle the game, the resource-intensive features, especially path tracing, may impact your framerate. If you don’t have the necessary hardware, Nvidia offers the opportunity to play the game through the GeForce NOW Ultimate cloud gaming service. This allows you to enjoy the game on an equivalent setup to an RTX 4080 for a monthly fee of $25.99.
