Cyberpunk 2077: Which direction should you choose in the subway tunnels?

After escaping the Chimera, you and President Meyers are in the unfinished subway tunnels below Dogtown. It’s time to make a choice: left or right?

Don’t stress too much about this choice as it’s just an illusion. In games, these choices are often given to encourage players to replay the game and choose the opposite path.

Let’s explore what you’ll find on each path.

Left or right? Which direction to take Myers in the subway tunnels

What happens if you take the Right Path?

If you take the right path, you’ll come across a utility corridor blocked by a metal gate. There are two security cameras in the hallway, so you can either hack or shoot them to get past. To proceed, you’ll need to turn off the jet of steam blocking the crawl space. Climb up the scaffolding, locate the shut-off valve, and turn off the steam. Head back to the hallway, crawl through the steam-free space, and you’ll find another camera and a door at the end. Enter the control room to delete camera footage and grab some items.

What happens if you take the Left Path?

The left path is much easier without any cameras or puzzles. You’ll come across a machine that opens an entrance to a small tunnel. Before moving on, make sure to grab the items nearby. Head through the tunnel and you’ll come out near the exit. If you want, you can open the door to the control room from the right path to collect more items. Simply head up the ramp and leave the subway tunnels.

Verdict: Which path to take Myers down

Take the left path for a simpler experience with less hassle. You’ll be able to collect more items and avoid the steam puzzle and cameras. The camera room is still accessible, so you won’t miss out on anything. It’s a win-win situation!
