Cyberpunk 2077: Pisces Job Explained
In this mission, V, Judy, and the Clouds dolls are planning to gain independence for the club. By the time Pisces comes around, the plan is set in motion, but you must decide on the specifics.
It’s important to understand the context before making your decision, as some details may have been forgotten due to previous completed missions.
- Clouds is currently under the control of the Tyger Claws gang, and the working conditions are terrible.
- Judy’s ex and a low-level Clouds manager, Maiko, reluctantly agrees to help with the coup.
- At the end of Pisces, Maiko tries to alter the plan by taking over as the owner and operator of Clouds, without prior discussion.
- You must decide whether to allow Maiko to change the plan or not.
All Possible Choices in Pisces
During the moment when Maiko alters the plan, only V and Maiko are present in the room (excluding the three Tyger Claw bosses).
Hiromi Sato is supposed to be the only casualty, but Maiko has brought two additional Tyger Claw bosses. This move allows her to negotiate taking over Clouds instead of allowing the club to be independent as planned. Here are the four ways the situation can play out:
- Option one: Side with Maiko by agreeing to get rid of Hiromi and accepting payment from her. This choice prevents you from romancing Judy and locks you out of her future jobs. Judy perceives this as a complete betrayal.
- Option two: Side with Maiko by agreeing to get rid of Hiromi but refuse payment from her. You can still pursue a romance with Judy as you didn’t accept a bribe. You can explain to Judy that it’s the best course of action for the dolls.
- Option three: Stick to the original plan by declaring Clouds’ independence and spare Maiko. This choice requires you to fight and kill all three Tyger Claw bosses. Judy will be thrilled with V if you stick to the plan and spare Maiko.
- Option four: Stick to the original plan by declaring Clouds’ independence and kill Maiko. You must fight the Tyger Claw bosses, and choosing any slightly argumentative option causes Maiko to attack V. Judy is saddened and shocked but doesn’t blame V for killing Maiko.
Best Outcome for the Pisces Job
It’s difficult to determine a definite best outcome, but I can certainly share the worst outcome. Let’s examine the consequences and rewards for each ending:
- Option one (side with Maiko and accept payment): Judy hates V, and the dolls’ lives don’t improve.
- Option two (side with Maiko and refuse payment): You can still romance Judy, but the dolls’ lives don’t improve.
- Option three (stick to the plan and spare Maiko): Judy is thrilled, but the Tyger Claws strike back, leading to the death of Tom and Roxanne going into hiding.
- Option four (stick to the plan and kill Maiko): Judy is sad but can still be romanced, and the Tyger Claws retaliate on Clouds.
Considering the outcomes, option one (side with Maiko and accept payment) is considered the worst ending as it prevents you from romancing Judy. The remaining options require moral judgment calls and rely on your beliefs about freedom and betrayal.
