If you enjoy using quickhacking to defeat enemies in Cyberpunk 2077 instead of traditional weapons, then a Netrunner build might be perfect for you. Netrunners utilize the power of the internet to gain the upper hand in battles. In this article, we will guide you through what we believe is the best Netrunner build.
Cyberpunk 2077 Netrunner Build Tips
Attributes
To optimize your Netrunner build, focus on increasing your intelligence as much as possible. This will unlock new quickhack options and enhance your damage potential.
Your other main attribute should be Technical Ability, as it will increase your cyberware capacity, allowing you to improve your hacking abilities.
We recommend making Cool your secondary trait. Cool will help you remain undetected while sneaking around and using your quickhacks. It will also aid you in using sniper rifles as a backup weapon.
Perks
The Netrunner build differs from the Hack N’ Slash build in its approach. You won’t be relying on melee attacks, so quick movement perks are not as crucial.
Prioritize the middle perk tree, which focuses on quickhacking. Optimization will increase your RAM capacity, allowing you to perform more hacks. The second level of Embedded Exploit will amplify your quickhack damage. Overclock lets you use quickhacks even when you run out of RAM by sacrificing your health, and Sublimation helps you regain lost health.
Additionally, grab many perks from the leftmost Intelligence perk tree. This tree enables you to queue multiple quickhacks simultaneously with perks like Hack Que and Que Acceleration.
Carhacker, an Intelligence perk independent of any specific tree, is particularly useful as it allows you to set up vehicle quickhacks.
The center tree in Technical Ability is essential for increasing your Cyberware capacity and utilizing pieces that enhance your quickhacks.
We also recommend investing in the center Cool perk tree. This will keep you hidden in battle, with the third level of Ninjutsu allowing you to sprint while crouched for better cover-to-cover movement.
Skills
Allocate points to the Netrunner skill tree, which will enhance your RAM recovery rate, RAM capacity, and more.
Weapons
Your primary weapon will be your quickhacks, but as a backup, acquire the Tsunami Ashura sniper rifle. This will enable you to eliminate opponents from a distance while setting up your quickhacks.
Cyberware
Set yourself up with the Tetratronic Rippler MK 5 as your Cyberdeck. This will significantly increase your max RAM, especially when upgraded and combined with tech perks.
Install a RAM Relocator in your brain to speed up RAM recovery. Obtain Self-Ice to fend off enemy quickhacks.
For your skeleton, choose RAM Recoup, which replenishes RAM based on the damage you receive.
In your hands, equip Smart Link to increase RAM when using smart weapons.
Quickhacks
The Short Circuit quickhack is your main source of damage, capable of taking out most enemies. Contagion is effective against grouped enemies, as its damage increases with each additional target. You can disable enemy Cyberware with Cyberware Malfunction, allowing you to eliminate them with other quickhacks or your sniper rifle.
Ping is a useful quickhack that reveals all enemies in your vicinity.
