Choices in the Waiting for Dodger Gig in Cyberpunk 2077
The Waiting for Dodger gig is one of the new side gigs in the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty. In this gig, you need to rescue two NCPD officers trapped in Dodger’s base. However, the important decision lies in whether you lie or tell Dodger the truth.
Talk to Stella
In the first objective, you need to talk to Stella, who is the fiancée of one of the trapped cops. Defeat Dodger’s men and hop into the car with Stella. She will inform you about the dangerous situation Bill and Charlie, the trapped officers, are in.
Stella suspects that Charlie is the one who got them into this mess. After gathering all the information, Stella will give you an access key to the former police station across the street.
Make Your Way Through the Base
As you enter the abandoned NCPD station, you will encounter Dodger’s men. You can choose to eliminate them stealthily, non-lethally, or sneak past them. Remember, this choice will have consequences later in the gig.
Read the Messages on the Computer in the Base
Continue further into the base and find a room with three men. In the center of the room, there’s a computer with messages revealing Bill and Charlie’s location in the basement.
Finding Bill and Charlie
Follow the mission marker to the basement and encounter a man trying to break through a door. Subdue or kill him and talk to the person on the other side, who is Charlie. Help Charlie open the door or do it yourself if you have enough Strength points.
In the back room, you meet Bill, and you learn the gruesome truth behind their blood-covered appearance.
NCPD’s Finest
Bill and Charlie reveal a shocking incident involving a dead man and a bag of drugs. They need your help to escape Dodger’s wrath. Escort them to the garage, but be cautious of Dodger’s men still in the building.
Confronting Dodger
In the garage, Dodger himself arrives and questions Bill and Charlie. You have the choice to lie, tell the truth, or start shooting. Telling the truth may result in Dodger letting them go, but if you’ve killed any of Dodger’s men, he will attack you.
The Aftermath of Your Confrontation with Dodger
Regardless of your choice, Bill and Charlie manage to escape. If you kill Dodger, you can loot his body and acquire the Rosco Iconic Power Revolver. There don’t seem to be any major consequences for killing Dodger.
