Cyberpunk 2077: Exploring Quickhacks

Quickhacks overview for Cyberpunk 2077

In Cyberpunk 2077, quickhacks are codes that you can load into your Cyberdeck to manipulate the cyber-based world around you. With almost everything and everyone having a chip installed, you can hack into people’s brains like computers and slow them down in combat.

Some builds, like the Hack-N-Slash Netrunner, focus on optimizing quickhacks. Quickhacks ability generally scales with your Intelligence stat. There are also perks within the Intelligence perk tree that enhance your ability with quickhacks.

Quickhacks are versatile and scale with Intelligence, similar to spells and magic in fantasy-based games.

Using quickhacks consumes RAM, which can be increased through Cyberware and perks. The effectiveness of a quickhack can be determined by its damage, duration, and upload time.

The different types of quickhacks

Combat quickhacks are the most common and essential tools for killing enemies, as Intelligence doesn’t affect weapon use significantly.

Covert hacks are useful for Cyber-ninja builds and allow you to sneak past enemies undetected. They can lure enemies into certain areas or erase their memory of seeing you.

Control quickhacks take control of your opponent’s body, allowing you to reroute their movement patterns or limit their movements. They can also disable their Cyberware.

Ultimate quickhacks are the most powerful but come at a higher cost. They can completely neutralize opponents by causing them to explode grenades or shoot themselves.

Vehicle quickhacks are specifically used to target vehicles and require unlocking the “carhacker” perk.
