Anime Boosts Cyberpunk 2077 to Reach New Milestone

Cyberpunk 2077 Sees Surge in Players with Release of Anime

The popular game Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a resurgence in players since the recent launch of its anime counterpart, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

This dystopian first-person game has now reached a milestone of 20 million players, despite its rocky start and initial reception as somewhat of a flop.

At its release, Cyberpunk 2077 was plagued with bugs and glitches that made it almost unplayable for some. However, the game has since overcome these issues.

On Sept. 29, the Cyberpunk Twitter account celebrated the game’s success and thanked its fans, saying, “Thank you, and we hope to see you all in the Afterlife!”

Furthermore, the game has generated buzz with the announcement of its upcoming DLC, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. This has only fueled the growing player base, eager to explore new content.

Just a week ago, Cyberpunk revealed that the anime series had led to a surge in players, with a daily average of 1 million individuals. And this number has remained consistent even after the anime’s release, indicating a renewed interest in the game.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered on Sept. 13, 2022, and has breathed new life into the once-forgotten title.
