Patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3 enhances the satisfaction of embracing darkness

Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Brings Dark Arts Fulfillment

Released in August 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 has undergone several major patches that have addressed community concerns and improved the overall gaming experience. With the upcoming Patch 7, the focus has shifted towards embracing the darker side of the game.

The Patch 7 update promises to enhance the evil endings in the game, allowing players to experience even darker conclusions in their sinister playthroughs. These improvements are not exclusive to the Durge class; they apply to all characters who dabble in chaos and darkness.

A preview on Steam reveals two teaser clips that provide a glimpse of what to expect. The first clip depicts a group of characters being struck by an elemental attack, visibly pained by the impact. The second clip showcases a Dragonborn character walking through a sea of corpses under a blood-red eclipse.

However, Patch 7 is not solely focused on the darker aspects. It also aims to address several bugs and issues reported by players. These include Jaheira’s overeagerness for combat, Wyll’s less-than-romantic greetings, and disappearing lines from the Narrator.

Furthermore, this update marks the introduction of official modding tools, which will allow players to add their own custom content and transform Baldur’s Gate 3 into their own surreal and nightmarish realm.

Although not included in Patch 7, the development team is actively working on implementing crossplay and a photo mode, but these features will be introduced in future updates.
