Upcoming Apex Legends Ranked Split will be released soon—ongoing investigation on missing saves

Respawn Delays Ranked Split for Apex Legends Season 20

After facing some update issues that affected Apex Legends players, developer Respawn announced the postponement of the Ranked Split for season 20. While a precise release date has not been provided yet, Respawn assured the community that it will be coming “shortly.”

The recent update problems caused a significant setback for many dedicated players. Some unfortunate individuals lost all their progress, including valuable Heirlooms and badges. In response, Respawn quickly implemented a fix to prevent further losses. However, those who were already impacted are still waiting for their progress to be restored.

The delay of the Ranked Split launch was a necessary decision by Respawn. With so many players affected by the update issues, it would not have been fair to reset their ranks. The community received a glimmer of hope when Respawn’s official X account (formerly Twitter) indicated that the Ranked Split will be rolling out to Apex Legends shortly.

While the exact timeline is still uncertain, players can expect the arrival of the Ranked Split sometime in the coming days or weeks. Considering the circumstances, it is reasonable to assume that Respawn aims to resolve the issue promptly. Hopefully, the restoration of players’ progress will follow closely behind.

In the midst of these challenges, Respawn and Apex Legends have been facing a rough period in recent months. Publisher EA’s decision to lay off several members of the Apex Legends team in March, along with the earlier dismissal of over 100 QA testers, further added to the difficulties. Additionally, the ALGS regional finals were marred by a hacking incident that interrupted matches and caused distress among competitive and casual players alike.

Despite these hurdles, Respawn appears to be actively addressing the issues. Apex Legends fans can look forward to the resolution of the current problems and the eventual release of the Ranked Split in season 20. It remains to be seen whether the season’s duration will need to be extended to compensate for the delay. However, Respawn will likely prioritize maintaining their plans for future seasons of the game.

As Apex Legends and Respawn continue to navigate these challenges, the community appreciates their commitment to addressing the issues promptly. With the possibility of progress restoration and a new Ranked Split on the horizon, players are hopeful for a smoother and more rewarding gaming experience.
