NICKMERCS Ends Professional Apex Legends Journey as His ALGS Team Disbands
NICKMERCS’ time in the Apex Legends competitive scene seems to be coming to an end, as his original ALGS team, the Tripods, officially disbanded today.
In 2022, NICKMERCS expressed his concern about the future of Call of Duty and Warzone. As the leader of the MFAM army, he decided to focus his efforts on Apex instead. He dedicated his time and energy to this new passion and eventually received an invitation to the ALGS. Prior to the start of the second split of the last ALGS season in March 2023, FaZe signed NICKMERCS and partnered him with two talented players: former G2 member Rigo “Gent” Padilla and aspiring newcomer Deeds from the Tripods. However, their disappointing 22nd-place finish and failure to qualify for the 2024 season put their future in jeopardy. This, combined with NICKMERCS’ return to Warzone, appeared to seal the fate of the team.
