The rising popularity of Made-in-India battle royale Indus has led to the announcement of the first nationwide grassroots esports tournaments called Indus Inferno. Developed by Pune-based SuperGaming, Indus offers players a chance to compete at the highest skill level and establish themselves as the best in India’s new-generation battle royale.

Indus Inferno commenced with the Regional Scrims, featuring a prize pool of Rs. 50,000 and drawing players from various cities across India. The interest and enthusiasm surrounding the scrims were palpable.

Players can now register for the Open Qualifiers until May 19th, with the qualifiers scheduled to run from May 20th to 24th. To be eligible for the qualifiers, participants must secure a position in the top 2,000 of the Inferno in-game Leaderboard. The top 10 teams from the Open Qualifiers will advance to the finale to compete against invited esports teams for glory.

Notable teams such as Team Moggers, Team Redlock, Team Pushpa, and Destruction of Game, alongside others, have received invitations to the Indus Inferno Finale. Additionally, the tournament will feature Indus content creators, community members, and winners of past playtests, ensuring a diverse lineup of participants.

Prizes Galore and Career Opportunities

The finale boasts a generous prize pool of Rs. 5,00,000, with the champions earning Rs. 2,50,000. Participants can also catch the attention of India’s top esports team owners present at the event, with scouting opportunities for a career in esports playing Indus.

SuperGaming’s CEO, Roby John, expressed the company’s commitment to fostering a sustainable esports ecosystem through events like Indus Inferno, further supported by exclusive rewards, developer panels, and more on the official Indus Discord server.

Showcasing India’s Gaming Prowess

Players can share feedback on Indus, influencing the game’s development, much like the success of SuperGaming’s previous titles, MaskGun and Silly Royale. MaskGun, a popular multiplayer shooter, has garnered a massive player base by prioritizing player feedback and community engagement.

The journey of Indus Inferno signifies much more than a tournament; it marks the beginning of a vibrant esports culture in India, paving the way for aspiring gamers to shine on a national platform.
