As India and Indonesia celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations in 2024, the Indonesian Embassy of New Delhi has partnered with Skyesports to host a historic esports showmatch. The Indian champion will face off against the Indonesian team to compete for the title. This unique opportunity allows both countries to promote their gaming industries and explore potential collaborations.

All-Female Luna Showmatch Promoting Inclusivity

The Skyesports Grand Slam will also feature an all-female esports tournament called “Luna.” Ten of India’s top female gaming stars will showcase their skills in the Counter-Strike 2 game, promoting inclusivity and inspiring the next generation of women gamers.

The main event of the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 will include the following teams:

– Aurora Gaming: Russia
– Garuda Wisnu Voyage: Indonesia
– Gods Reign: India
– Bad News Kangaroo: Australia

These teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, battling for the championship title and the majority of the $50,000 prize pool.

The Skyesports Grand Slam serves as the first tournament for Counter-Strike 2 in Skyesports’ 2024 esports roadmap. Following this event, the company plans to host the Skyesports Masters 2024, a $350,000 tournament in India featuring teams from Europe and India.
