A new partnership is set to fuel the growth of the global esports ecosystem with PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings.

Level Infinite, Tencent’s global gaming brand committed to delivering engaging and original gaming experiences worldwide, has partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation to drive the esports ecosystems of PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings forward. The Esports World Cup Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on nurturing the development and expansion of the esports and gaming sectors, is organizing the inaugural Esports World Cup in 2024.

The partnership will bring together two of Level Infinite’s flagship games, PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings, with the Esports World Cup to synergize the esports ecosystems of both titles. It demonstrates Level Infinite’s dedication to enhancing the esports infrastructure for these games and creating competitive opportunities worldwide. The collaboration aims to support talent in various areas of the industry, from gamers and content creators to production professionals, emphasizing the commitment to nurturing the future of gaming and esports.

As part of this commitment, over 1,000 esports events for PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings will be hosted globally in 2024, providing ample opportunities for players of all skill levels to compete. Level Infinite and the Esports World Cup Foundation will also work to streamline the player experience and cultivate a competitive, player-centric environment.

Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing and Global Esports at Tencent Games, representing Level Infinite, commented, “The global esports sector is experiencing exponential growth. As a brand, we are committed to facilitating game development and nurturing the next generation of game titles and esports athletes, fostering a community centered around inclusivity, connectivity, and accessibility.”

Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, said, “Our mission is to build a sustainable global esports infrastructure so fans can enjoy our sport for generations to come. Our partnership with Level Infinite directly supports that mission by adding two of the most-played games to the Esports World Cup program for players and fans across the globe.”

As part of the partnership, PUBG MOBILE will introduce the new PUBG MOBILE World Cup with Esports World Cup. This competition will feature a $3 million prize pool for competing teams and will serve as the premier summer event. Honor of Kings will also have its own event, the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason | Esports World Cup, where 12 teams from around the world will compete for a $3 million prize pool and the opportunity to secure spots in the Honor of Kings Invitational Championship later in the year.

The MENA region, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a thriving market for esports and has hosted numerous gaming events. The inaugural Esports World Cup will take place this summer in Riyadh and will crown the first Esports World Cup Club Champion.

PUBG MOBILE, co-developed by Tencent Games’ LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and KRAFTON, Inc., is one of the most popular mobile games globally. Honor of Kings, developed by TiMi Studio Group, is the world’s most-played mobile MOBA.
