Icespice5 Crowned UK’s Best Student VALORANT Team at Red Bull Campus Clutch UK National Finals
Icespice5 emerged as the top VALORANT team among UK’s student players at the Red Bull Campus Clutch UK National Finals held at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. The team delivered an exciting performance, securing a victory against Boba Enjoyers (18-16). As a result, Icespice5 has qualified for the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals in Turkey, scheduled for November 19-24th. By competing against skilled student teams from around the world, Icespice5 will aim to claim the title of Campus Clutch World Champions and win a prize pool of €20,000.
Red Bull Campus Clutch: A Global Tournament
Red Bull Campus Clutch began in August with National Qualifiers taking place worldwide. Each participating country saw its National Finals to determine the best student team. The UK National Finals concluded at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere, where Icespice5 showcased their dominance. They won the first Semi-Final against City Wok with an impressive 13-1 score in the second map. This success propelled them to the Grand Final, where they engaged in an intense battle against Boba Enjoyers. The final went into overtime five times before Icespice5 secured the victory with a final score of 18-16.
Icespice5’s Journey and Hopes for the World Finals
Having previously won the UK nationals in 2021 and 2022, Icespice5’s captain, ‘BENZKI’, holds high expectations for the World Finals. He expressed confidence in their chances, mentioning teams from Egypt and Czechoslovakia as strong contenders. BENZKI reflected on the intense competition faced during the Red Bull Campus Clutch and praised his team’s dedication and strategic approach.
