GRID and Kambi Group’s Abios extend official esports data partnership

Esports data platform GRID and Abios, the esports business of Swedish sports betting technology and services company Kambi Group PLC, have announced an extension of their esports data cooperation to encompass more esports odds backed by GRID data.

Through Abios, GRID will add League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege official esports data feeds to power the Kambi Group’s partner network, joining the Counter-Strike 2, Dota2 and VALORANT feeds established from the original partnership between GRID and Abios, signed last July.

Enhanced esports betting experience

Abios utilizes the GRID Data Platform’s real-time data feeds to provide accurate and timely odds to both existing and new partners within the Kambi Group and subsidiary networks. The integration enables the expansion of automated and custom odds products, resulting in increased uptime and odds model automation, which is particularly crucial for live markets.

Abios’ real-time data feeds also allow it to provide premium features like same-game parlays, player propositions, and flash markets to Kambi Group partners with extended coverage.

Reliable and granular data

The GRID Data Platform exclusively sources data directly from game servers, made possible through GRID’s official partnerships with rights holders including Riot Games, Ubisoft and KRAFTON, as well as over 70 tournament organizers in the Valve esports ecosystem. These direct connections with rights holders, along with GRID technology, ensure that its partners receive the most precise, trustworthy, and granular real-time data available.

Developing Technological Solutions for Esports Betting

The formal data relationship between GRID and Kambi Group exemplifies how the iGaming and esports betting businesses may use modern technological solutions to enhance digital offerings. Operators and customers may trust the integrity of the underlying data, which can be traced back to only genuine sources where rights holders are involved in the value chain.

Mikael Westerling, GRID Chief Sales Officer, commented on the extension: “We are excited to bring League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege official data streams to Kambi’s network for the first time, adding even more value to their already amazing esports betting offerings. The continuous success of our relationship with Abios, as well as our shared vision for esports betting’s potential, made it an obvious decision to extend the agreement.”

Anton Janér, Managing Director of Abios, added: “We are thrilled to maintain and develop our cooperation with GRID. Abios provides high-performance esports content to partners both inside and outside of the Kambi network, thanks to its unique portfolio of data rights. With access to real-time data from GRID, Abios’ automated odds models offer stable margins, decreased latency, and a better user experience.”
