Inaugural National Federation of the Year Award

The International Esports Federation Introduces the National Federation of the Year Award

The International Esports Federation (IESF) has recently announced the launch of the National Federation of the Year Award. This prestigious award aims to acknowledge the effort, dedication, passion, and embodiment of IESF’s values by its member federations. Currently, IESF boasts 140 member federations spread across six continents.

IESF witnessed remarkable achievements, increased digital engagement, and competitive success among its member federations this year. Out of the 19 shortlisted National Federations that won at least one medal at the 2023 World Esports Championship held in Iași, Romania, one deserving federation will be bestowed with this prestigious honor.

“The first-ever National Federation of the Year Award is a tribute to the extraordinary achievements and hard work demonstrated by our 140 member federations,” said Boban Totovski, the Secretary General of IESF. “The success and growth of the World Esports Family are the results of the unwavering effort put in by NFs to advance the World Esports ecosystem. We are thrilled to reward an exemplary NF with this distinguished award and further promote the development of gaming and esports excellence worldwide.”

Evaluation Criteria for the Award

A ranking system has been devised by IESF’s Membership Committee, Athletes Committee, and Secretariat team to evaluate the National Federations for the award. The criteria for assessment include participation in IESF-sanctioned events and competitions, timely response to requirements and communication with IESF and relevant stakeholders, communication with athletes and meeting their needs, federation structure and growth, digital presence on social media and streaming platforms, results from IESF-sanctioned events and competitions, reporting and communicating events and future plans to IESF, and consistency in executing numerous activities throughout the year.

The winner of the National Federation of the Year Award will be unveiled during the Esports Insider Hall of Fame Ceremony at the World Esports Summit in Busan, South Korea on November 28th.
