The 8th World Esports Summit: A Countdown Begins

The International Esports Federation (IESF) has revealed the details for the upcoming eighth edition of the World Esports Summit (WE Summit) in Busan, South Korea. Taking place at the BEXCO Convention Hall from November 28 to 29, the event aims to bring together leaders from the esports and sports industry, government officials, and representatives from IESF’s 140 Member Federations to discuss the current esports ecosystem, its challenges, and potential solutions.

Prominent figures from the industry, including HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, David Nichel of the Electronic Sports League (ESL), Jonas Gundersen of Ninjas in Pyjamas & Co-Founder of Tribos.AI, Dave Lee of IHC, and more, will participate as speakers during the two-day event. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

IESF Secretary General Boban Totovski expressed his excitement for hosting the World Esports Summit in South Korea once again. Following the success of last year’s edition, the organization aims to foster collaboration among members of the World Esports Family and promote the growth of the esports ecosystem.

The summit will cover various topics through panel discussions, including the impact of esports, education, competitive success, health, legacy, and more. Keynote speeches and discussions will feature global teams and brands such as ESL, NIP, IHC, OG, and FITGMR.

The event is open to the public, and those interested in attending can reserve their spot on the WE Summit’s Official Page. This summit follows the World Esports Championship in Romania, with participation from a record-breaking 111 countries. Saudi Arabia was announced as the host for the 2024 edition of the championship, demonstrating IESF’s commitment to expanding and innovating esports on a global scale.
