BLAST collaborates with Visit Denmark in an exciting venture

BLAST Partners with Visit Denmark for Fall Final

BLAST has teamed up with Visit Denmark, the Official Tourism Organisation of Denmark, for the upcoming Fall Final in Copenhagen. The partnership aims to showcase Denmark as a top destination and esports hub for fans and travelers.

Copenhagen’s iconic Royal Arena will host the BLAST Premier Fall Final, where the world’s best Counter-Strike players will compete. The event will have a global broadcast audience in 154 territories and 27 different languages. As part of the partnership, Denmark will be promoted through physical and digital platforms, featuring famous Danish Counter-Strike players visiting local landmarks like Lynæs Surfcenter, Fyrkroen, and Kronborg.

Denmark’s Rise in Esports

In recent years, Denmark has emerged as a world leader in esports. A report by Dansk Industri in August 2023 highlighted Denmark’s potential in the esports industry. It described the country as a possible frontrunner and revealed that esports in Denmark employs more full-time employees than the entire Danish film industry.

Copenhagen: The Hub for Esports

Copenhagen is becoming the center for large-scale esports events in 2023. BLAST has partnered with Ubisoft, Epic Games, and Valve to bring three major events to the city: the BLAST R6 Major, the FNCS Global Championships, and the BLAST Premier Fall Final. These events not only bring exciting esports action but also significant economic investment to Denmark. Last year’s BLAST Premier Fall Final alone had an estimated overall investment of $8.8 million/60,000,000 DKK.

BLAST and Visit Denmark Partnership

Alexander Lewin, VP of Distribution and Programming for BLAST, expressed delight in partnering with Visit Denmark. He emphasized Denmark’s appeal to esports and gaming fans and highlighted the variety and depth of events happening in Copenhagen. Danish Counter-Strike player Finn ‘karrigan’ Anderson, also expressed his connection to Denmark and his excitement to promote the country to the world.

Katja Moesgaard, CEO for Visit Denmark, sees the partnership as an opportunity to showcase Denmark’s position in esports and gaming. It provides a platform to reach a global audience and promotes Denmark as an innovative and modern country.

With this collaboration, BLAST and Visit Denmark hope to inspire fans to visit Denmark and experience its unique offerings.
