Abios Appoints a New Managing Director
Anton Janér has been named as the new Managing Director of Abios, the e-sports division of Kambi Group plc. Janér, who was the company’s Chief Technology Officer before, will take over as CEO from Oskar Bonnevier Froberg, who has chosen to move on to new opportunities.
Janér and Froberg co-founded Abios in 2013. Under their direction, the company has grown a lot. Janér was very important in creating Abios’ new esports solutions because he had a lot of experience with technology and knew a lot about the esports market.
Years of Progress and Victory
Within the last ten years, Froberg has led Abios to great success. This led to the firm collaborating with e-sports organizations, media outlets, game developers, and entertainment companies, and ultimately with millions of e-sports consumers. Abios has grown into a global powerhouse in the e-sports industry, employing a staff of approximately 70 people.
Kambi Group, a renowned company that develops software for use in sports betting, acquired Abios in the year 2021. The participation of Froberg was instrumental in achieving this. Thanks to his direction, the Kambi Group was able to collaborate effectively, which bolstered Abios’ position in the dynamic esports betting segment.
A Bright Future Ahead
Janér talked about how excited he was to lead Abios into a new age of growth and new ideas. He thanked Froberg for the valuable relationship they had built over the years and the important contributions they had made to the success of the company.
When Froberg thought back on his time at Abios, he said he had mixed feelings about stepping down as CEO but was sure Janér could take the business forward. He said that the move to Kambi Group went well and that he was optimistic about Abios’ future under Janér’s direction.
