Yatoro predicts Team Spirit to become Dota 2’s top team within a month

Team Spirit Looks to Bounce Back in 2023 Dota Pro Circuit

The TI-winning Team Spirit of 2021 is not the same anymore. Their performance at TI11 was disappointing, and there were internal issues that almost led to their disbandment. However, they managed to stick together, with the only change being TORONTOTOKYO leaving to join BetBoom and being replaced by Larl.

Despite all the challenges, Team Spirit has had a promising start in the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit. They finished second in the Eastern European Winter Tour, earning an invitation to the Lima Major.

Team Spirit also impressed in the BetBoom Universe: Episode I – Comics Zone tournament. Although they narrowly lost to Tundra Esports in the finals, Team Spirit pushed them to their limits. Even though Tundra didn’t have their full team, they faced a tough challenge from Team Spirit.

Before that series, Team Spirit beat Gaimin Gladiators in the lower bracket final. Yatoro, a member of Team Spirit, stated that their goal is to play more aggressively, and he believes they have achieved that.

Yatoro admits that Team Spirit is not performing at their best due to making too many mistakes. However, he is confident that the team is learning from these mistakes and will improve over time. Yatoro even boldly claims that in a month’s time, Team Spirit will be considered “the greatest.”

Although Team Spirit is not the favored team heading into the Lima Major, they are not far behind the favorites, Team Liquid and BetBoom. These two teams dominated their respective regions. Team Spirit accumulated six wins and only one loss in the Winter Tour, alongside PSG.LGD and Team Aster in China. They are considered the biggest threats to the favorites.

We will find out more about Team Spirit’s performance once the major kicks off on Feb. 22.
