EHOME Faces Setback as Faith_bian Suffers Hand Inflammation, xiao8 to Stand In
EHOME’s Dota 2 team is dealing with another setback as Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida is forced to take time off due to inflammation in one of his hands. This is the second significant injury Faith_bian has suffered in the last year. EHOME failed to qualify for the DreamLeague Season 13 Major.
xiao8 Steps In as Faith_bian Recovers
Due to Faith_bian’s injury, EHOME’s coach and legendary Dota player xiao8 will be standing in for him on the main roster. This is not the first time xiao8 has come out of retirement to play for his team when a player is unable to participate. He previously stepped in for Faith_bian when he suffered an upper arm fracture during the MDL Macau Major.
Challenges of Tenosynovitis in Dota 2
Tenosynovitis, a form of inflammation in the tendons of the hand, causes joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. This poses a significant challenge in a game like Dota 2 that requires quick actions and precise hand movements. Faith_bian will have a two-month period to heal from his tendon inflammation before the next set of Dota Pro Circuit qualifiers.

Despite the setbacks, EHOME remains determined to compete. The team is implementing new roster changes and has the support of their coach xiao8. They will continue participating in the World Electronic Sports Games China qualifiers and China Dota 2 Professional League Season 1.
