When is the end date for Dota 2’s Diretide event?

New Diretide Event Finally Arrives in Dota 2

After a long wait, Dota 2 players were thrilled to see the return of the Diretide event on Oct. 29. For the first time since 2013, Valve delivered a more refined and exciting version of the event. As players collected candies and defended their stash from the enemy team, Roshan himself joined in the fun, creating a thrilling gameplay experience. The return of Diretide also brought a spike in Dota 2’s player numbers, which hadn’t been seen in six months.

Collect Diretide Points and Win Amazing Rewards

While not everyone may be a fan of alternative game modes, Valve had something for everyone with Diretide. Players could earn Diretide points by playing regular matches and collecting 100 points would grant them one of Roshan’s rewards. There are over 75 prizes waiting to be claimed, and players can also try their luck with the Hallowed Chest of the Diretide revamped treasure to win valuable immortal items.

When Will the Diretide 2020 Event End?

The Diretide 2020 event in Dota 2 will run until Dec. 22, giving players ample time to collect all the Diretide rewards. However, this also raises questions about the future of Frostivus, Dota 2’s Christmas-themed event. With Diretide ending near the holidays, Valve may be considering skipping Frostivus this year.

Frostivus, like Diretide, was last held in 2013 and was revived in 2017. In recent years, Frostivus events typically started between Dec. 14 and 19 and ended in the first week of the new year. The fate of Frostivus remains uncertain, but Dota 2 fans can look forward to the annual New Bloom event, which celebrates the Chinese New Year and has a solid track record.
