WePlay! Pushka League Season 2 introduces a new division and format

The WePlay! Pushka League Returns with New Format and Divisions

The WePlay! Pushka League is making a comeback, and this time, it’s introducing a third division for Dota 2 teams and making changes to its original format.

Changes to the Format

The upcoming second season will feature three regions, three divisions, and a modified format for each division. It will kick off with Europe and the Americas on Aug. 13.

Europe Division 1

Europe will once again be the largest region in the Pushka League, combining EU and CIS into a 16-team group stage for Division 1. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Finals, while a play-in stage will determine the additional two teams.

Super Finals and Division 3

The Super Finals will be a double-elimination bracket with a prize pool of $210,000. Teams that reach this stage will secure a Division 1 spot for the next season. Additionally, Division 3 has been introduced, with eight teams entering through open qualifiers, and the top four teams moving up to Division 2.

Division 2 and Relegation Bracket

Division 2 will feature two groups of four teams competing for a chance to move up to Division 1 in the next season. The top two teams from each group will participate in a relegation bracket against the non-Super Finals qualifiers from Division 1. The top eight teams will qualify for Division 1, while the remaining teams will be relegated to Division 2. The relegation bracket will also have a $50,000 prize pool.

Changes in the Americas and Asia Regions

The North and South America regions have been merged into a single region. Similarly, the China and Southeast Asia regions have also been combined into a single Asian region. Both regions will host 12 teams with similar rules for the Super Finals and relegation brackets.

Prize Pool Breakdown

Here’s the breakdown of the prize pool for the Super Finals and the Division 2 Relegation Bracket in the Americas and Asia:

  • Super Finals
    • $40,000 in the Americas
    • $60,000 in Asia
  • Division 2 Relegation Bracket
    • $10,000 for the Americas
    • $15,000 for Asia

No Division 3 will be available for the smaller regions. The exact start date for the Asian region has not been announced yet. Europe and America will compete from Aug. 13 to Sept. 13, with more information on teams, broadcasting, and other details to be revealed later this summer.
