Online Dota 2 Tournament for COVID-19 Relief

In light of the recent cancellations and travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus outbreak, WePlay! is organizing an online, non-profit tournament to raise awareness and funds to fight the virus.

WeSave! Charity Play

WeSave! Charity Play is a 24-team event featuring some of the biggest teams in the world. The tournament will run from March 20 to 26 and will be entirely remote, including games, broadcasts, and other content.

So far, 14 teams have confirmed their participation, including EHOME, Invictus Gaming, TNC Predator, Geek Fam, BOOM Esports, HellRaisers, Virtus Pro, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Team Nigma, No Ping Esports, Thunder Predator, beastcoast, and business associates. The remaining 10 teams will be announced in the coming week.

Support for COVID-19

The tournament boasts a $120,000 prize pool, with $20,000 allocated to each region. All proceeds will be donated to help fight the coronavirus. The prize pool may increase further through additional sponsors or donations before or during the tournament.

English and Russian Broadcasts

The WeSave! Charity Play will be held from March 20 to 26, with English and Russian broadcasts available. The event will feature top talent such as Jorien “Sheever” van der Heijden, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin, and many others.
