WePlay Esports outlines health and security precautions for staff and players before the second DPC Major.

WePlay Esports Shares Health and Safety Measures for WePlay AniMajor

Tournament organizer WePlay Esports has provided an insight into the health and security measures being implemented for the upcoming WePlay AniMajor, the second Major of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit.

All WePlay staff, players, and talent involved in the event in Kyiv will adhere to these protocols to ensure everyone’s safety.

WePlay staff members who come into contact with players or talent must have passed a PCR test, obtained a negative COVID-19 result, and wear masks at all times. Additionally, social distancing guidelines are strictly followed.

Tournament staff and players are provided with essential equipment such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and more. The partnered Ramada Encore hotel and WePlay ensure that every entrance is equipped with a device to measure body temperatures.

Staff and players undergo daily body temperature checks and must take a PCR test twice a week. Furthermore, there is a 24-hour first-aid station with medical personnel present at the hotel.

Players and staff are assigned to different “zones” within the hotel. Access to these zones requires a special badge to be presented to the security personnel at the entrance. Additionally, players have their own fully sanitized personal practice rooms.

Dedicated restaurants have been set up for players and employees to have their meals while maintaining isolation. Outside requests are handled through special delivery protocols to minimize exposure to potential risks.

The WePlay AniMajor will take place from June 2 to 13, with most players already present in Kyiv for preparations.
