Virtus Pro Adds Save to Dota 2 Roster After Successful Stand-In Period in Two Tournaments

Virtus Pro Signs Stand-in Player Save- to Full Contract

Virtus Pro, one of the dominant teams in the last Dota Pro Circuit season, has been struggling since making major roster changes after The International 2019. However, the team has now signed Vitaliy “Save-” Melnik to a full contract, completing his transfer from Winstrike Team. Save- initially joined Alexey “Solo” Berezin’s new roster but has now become an official member of Virtus Pro.

Save- has performed well as a stand-in player and has impressed Virtus Pro’s general manager, Roman Dvoryankin, with his personal skills and communication with teammates. This move solidifies four of the five players on VP’s roster for the upcoming DPC qualifiers, with only one stand-in remaining.

Solo, VP’s captain, has high hopes for Save-‘s improvement and believes he has the potential to become the best position 4 player in Dota 2 history. Solo acknowledges that Save- needs to adapt his playstyle from focusing on a narrow hero pool in pub matches to being versatile in professional games.

The team plans to use the next month to address the issues that led to their defeat in the first Major qualifiers. VP will not be competing in any major tournaments in November but will participate in the qualifiers for the MDL Chengdu Major, which begin on December 1.
