Virtus Pro Acquires Yamich from Winstrike Team, Appoints gpk as Captain for 2022 DPC Roster

Virtus.pro Finalizes Dota 2 Roster for 2022 DPC

Virtus.pro has completed its revamped Dota 2 roster for the upcoming 2022 Dota Pro Circuit. The team has signed former Winstrike Team support player Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy and named Danil “gpk” Skutin as the new captain.

Introducing Yamich

Yamich, who is only 20 years old, fits well with the rest of VP’s roster in terms of age. He replaces Vitalie “Save-” Melnic, who has been moved to the inactive roster. Yamich will join the team alongside Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, the oldest player at 21 years old.

A Promising Young Player

“We are constantly keeping tabs on promising young players. Daniyal has been showing consistent progress for the past several years,” said VP CEO Sergey Glamazda. “That’s why when we faced the necessity of a roster change, his candidature was brought up.”

A Successful Test Run

After internal discussions and the benching of Save- and Nightfall, VP decided to bring in yamich for test games to see how he would fit within the team. The test run went well, leading VP to buy out yamich’s contract with Winstrike and sign him to complete their roster.

Yamich is an experienced player in Eastern Europe, having played for Winstrike and other organizations. He has impressed with his mechanical skills and playstyle, making him a good fit for VP.

VP has already started bootcamping for the upcoming 2022 DPC Winter Tour with their finalized roster. The team aims to continue their regular-season dominance and build upon their success in the previous year.

Meanwhile, Nightfall and Save- remain on the team’s inactive roster. Nightfall is rumored to join Evil Geniuses for trials in the North American region.
