Vici Gaming proved their dominance at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor by dropping only one match in the group stage. Despite initial doubts about their chemistry, Vici’s performance impressed everyone.

Promising Start in Group Stage

Considered underdogs in Group A, Vici Gaming surprised everyone with their strong performance. They secured the top spot in the group, setting up a match against Old But Gold in the playoffs.

Impressive Playoff Run

In the playoffs, Vici Gaming crushed Old But Gold in the first round. Although OBG put up a fight in the toughest match of the day, Vici emerged victorious after a 45-minute brawl.

On the other side of the bracket, Gambit Esports swept Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao’s Flying Penguin squad.

Grand Finals Showdown

In the grand finals, Vici Gaming faced Gambit Esports in a rematch of the Group A winners match. Vici had previously defeated Gambit in the group stage.

In the opening game of the grand finals, Vici Gaming dominated Gambit Esports, taking a quick 2-0 advantage. Thanks to outstanding plays from Pan “Fade” Yi and Zhang “Paparazi” Chengjun, Vici had a commanding lead.

Despite a brief comeback attempt by Gambit in game three, Vici Gaming’s offense proved too strong. Vici completed the 3-0 upset, claiming the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor championship.

Next Stop: DreamLeague Season 11 Major

As the champions, Vici Gaming earned $125,000, along with 120 Dota Pro Circuit points. They also secured the final spot in the DreamLeague Season 11 Major, which will be held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 14 to 24.
