Vici Gaming progress in the StarLadder Dota 2 Minor tournament

Vici Gaming and Gambit Esports Secure Wins at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor

On the second day of the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, Vici Gaming and Gambit Esports dominated the Group B competition, putting them one step closer to victory.

Vici Gaming’s Strong Performance

Vici Gaming started the day by facing Demolition Boys, formerly known as the Playmakers Esports roster. Despite a strong fight from DB in game one, Vici remained composed and ultimately clinched the win.

In the second game, Vici continued their solid play and easily secured their ticket to the winner’s match.

Over the past month, Vici has faced roster issues, causing them to consider a change after their seventh-place finish at The Chongqing Major in January. However, it seems that the team has put those issues behind them.

Gambit Esports’ Favoritism Tested

Gambit Esports was initially seen as the favorite to claim first place and secure a spot in the DreamLeague Season 11 Major. After a close series against BOOM ID, Gambit managed to survive and move on to the next stage.

In game one, Gambit had the advantage and held onto it against a resilient BOOM. Despite BOOM’s efforts, Gambit won game two and advanced to the winner’s match.

A Decisive Match-Up

In the winner’s match, Vici Gaming and Gambit Esports engaged in a three-game brawl. As the later games unfolded, Vici Gaming’s offensive playmaking and strategic kills proved to be the deciding factor.

With their victory, Vici Gaming secures a spot in the playoffs and guarantees a top-four finish in the event.

Next Matches

The tournament will continue on March 9 at 2am CT with the Group A loser’s match between Royal Never Give Up and OG. The group stage will conclude when the winner of DB and BOOM faces Gambit for the last spot in the playoffs.
