Dota 2 Patch 7.34 Teaser Released with Emoji Patch Notes
Fans of Dota 2 have eagerly been awaiting the release of Patch 7.34 following the conclusion of the Bali Major and Riyadh Masters tournaments. While the patch is set to go live in the next couple of days, Valve has given players a taste of what’s to come with a teaser consisting of blog posts written in emojis.
The blog posts may appear to be a random selection of emojis, but they actually represent the changes that will be implemented in Dota 2 with Patch 7.34. Some of the emojis are fairly straightforward to interpret, such as Riki losing two armor points and Monkey King Bar receiving a recipe discount.
One hero that has received significant attention is Invoker, as his changes are so extensive they could almost be considered an emoji novel. For example, an icon next to a world emoji could indicate an attribute change for Invoker to make him “Universal.”
In addition, changes to the drafting process in Captain’s Mode are being made in preparation for Dota 2’s The International 2023. According to the translated emojis, there will be differences in the pick and ban order once Patch 7.34 is live. While this may seem like a minor alteration, it has the potential to prompt teams to reevaluate their drafting strategies and priorities ahead of the most prestigious Dota 2 event of the year.
