Valve unveils early 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit schedule

The 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit Schedule Revealed

The offseason is in full swing for Dota 2. Players are switching teams and heroes are being nerfed. Now, the official schedule for the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit has been announced.

The season will begin with a Minor event, but a week later than last year. Prize money for each event remains the same as last year: $300,000 for Minors and $1 million for Majors. However, the value of Minors has increased from 500 to 660 DPC points, giving smaller teams a chance to earn a good number of points outside of the Majors.

Teams participating in the closed regional qualifiers will also receive DPC points. Each region will have at least two spots for representatives at each Major and one at each Minor.

Teams that qualify for a Major by winning a Minor will be awarded points based on the higher finish. For example, if a team places higher than 12th at a Major, they will receive 150 points instead of the 140 points from the Minor, not both.

More information about the first 2019 DPC event will be revealed in the coming weeks as the qualifiers are set to begin on September 30.
