Valve Reveals Release Date for Dota 2’s Upcoming Major Patch While Keeping Players Guessing About Significant Changes

Valve Confirms Release Date for Dota 2 Patch 7.33

Valve has confirmed that the highly anticipated Patch 7.33 for Dota 2 will release on April 20. The announcement, made through an official blog post, was presented in the form of riddles, adding some excitement to the news.

The first riddle was the simplest. It provided a clue indicating that the update would release on a date that rhymes with “Smaypril Twemmieth” and falls between April 19th and April 21st. This confirmed the release date for players.

The other riddles were more challenging, requiring players to decipher their meanings. However, the community has done an impressive job of figuring them out.

For example, one riddle hinted that a specific unit would now be controllable by the player who unearthed it. This was identified as a reference to the Kobold found with the Trusty Shovel. Another riddle mentioned a hero who always has zero intelligence, leading some to speculate that it referred to Ogre Magi or Troll Warlord.

Some of the other riddles were more straightforward. One suggested the introduction of a new late-game item based on its cost and required components. Another hinted at the ability for players to quickly teleport between outposts, increasing the importance of controlling them.

However, there are still some riddles that players have yet to solve.

One particularly puzzling riddle states that a specific item now has an initial and maximum stock of four, with a restock time of 120 seconds. Players are unsure which item this refers to, speculating it could be Tangoes, Sentry Wards, or Smokes. Another riddle involving the return of the soul to the body might have something to do with Muerta and an Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade.

While these riddles have generated a lot of excitement within the community, they only scratch the surface of what is expected to be included in the update.

After all, this content release for Dota 2 marks the end of the game’s longest content drought, and fans have been speculating about its contents for months. The wait is finally coming to an end tomorrow.

Players should anticipate some server issues once the patch is released.
