Valve joins forces with 4D Esports for South America’s grandest tournament

Valve Supports South American Dota 2 Tournament with $75,000 Prize Pool

Valve is fulfilling its promise to further support the third-party competitive Dota 2 scene by financially backing another South American tournament organizer. 4D Esports’ Realms Collide tournament series, now in its second season, will feature top teams such as beastcoast, Infamous, Thunder Predator, and Team Unknown. According to Ramón “glSwadow” Beltrán, chief marketing officer of 4D, more teams will be announced soon.

The prize pool for season two of Realms Collide has been increased significantly, now totaling $75,000 compared to the $10,000 offered in the first season. The tournament will run from Nov. 9 to Dec. 6, providing a month of high-quality Dota 2 action and boosting competitiveness in the South American region.

4D Esports, a collaboration between casters and tournament organizers from the Spanish Dota 2 scene, is aiming to host “the biggest tournament in the history of South America.”

In addition to supporting Realms Collide, Valve has also backed two tournaments organized by Movistar Liga Pro Gaming in South America, with a total prize pool of $45,000.
