Valve Introduces New Wagering Odds and Discontinues Sideshop in Updated International Battle Pass

Valve Makes Changes to International 2020 Battle Pass Based on Community Feedback

Valve has listened to the community and made updates to the International 2020 Battle Pass. Based on feedback, some new features have been rolled back to how they were in previous years.

Changes to Weekly Wagering System and Sideshop

In response to community feedback, Valve has made changes to the Weekly Wagering system and Sideshop. The Sideshop has been completely removed from the game after just over a week.

Replacing Sideshop with Recycling Mechanic

Sithil and Quirt’s Sideshop, which was introduced to give players more options with their Battle Pass earnings, has been shut down. It has been replaced by the normal Recycling mechanic, allowing players to recycle their immortal treasures like in previous Battle Passes.

Previously recycled immortals will count towards progress in the new system and grant additional immortal treasures as players continue to play. Rewards earned through the Sideshop will remain in player inventories, and remaining gold can still be used in the Sideshop by using the “dota_show_sideshop” command.

Reverting Weekly Wagering to Previous Amount

Weekly Wagering has been reverted to how it was in Battle Pass 2019, with the weekly battle points available from wagering returning to its old amount.

Removal of Ticketing Requirements for Gauntlet Battle System

Ticketing requirements for the Gauntlet battle system have been removed. Players will no longer need to use a ticket to participate in a test of strength while playing matches.

Previously, players would receive multiple entry tickets when purchasing the Battle Pass. These tickets could be used to enter a gauntlet, where winning three games before losing two would give players prizes such as 1,500 Battle Points, a Battle Tier upgrade, and 200 Sideshop Gold. More tickets could be purchased in the Sideshop, but since the Sideshop is being removed, this change is being made.

These updates will go live on June 5. If you have any immortal treasure, it is recommended to hold onto it until the reversion is done. More updates based on Sideshop content and other removals can be expected in the near future.
