Valve introduces fresh cosmetics for Dota 2 Supporters Clubs

The Dota Pro Circuit and the Importance of the Supporters Club

The Dota Pro Circuit’s competitive scene relies on the unwavering support of fans, both in offline and online events. One way for fans to show their love for their favorite teams is through the Supporters Club.

Recently, Valve has added more cosmetics to the Supporters Club, fulfilling requests from teams. And there’s good news for fans as more organizations are set to join the Supporters Club in the near future.

Cosmetics and Team Representation

Valve leaves the design of teams’ cosmetics to the organizations themselves. This allows teams to showcase their creativity and potentially attract new fans. However, not all teams invest equally in their cosmetics. Some teams opt for basic artwork, which may make it harder for fans to justify purchasing their pack. On the other hand, teams like Alliance put effort into their cosmetics, but there may be missing voice lines in their Supporters Club pack.

Fun and Unique Cosmetics

While some team packs may be underwhelming, others take the opportunity to introduce fun and unique designs into the game. For example, Evil Geniuses (EG) has created exciting designs that enhance the gaming experience.

Supporting Your Favorite Team

When fans make a purchase through the Supporters Club, 50 percent of the revenue goes directly to the team they support. If your favorite team is not yet part of the Supporters Club, there’s still hope. Valve will continue to release more Supporters Club content, which means your team’s cosmetics may become available in the game in the future.
