Unbeaten Entity Overcomes Lag in Western Europe’s Dota 2 Qualifiers for TI11

Entity Dominates Western Europe Qualifiers for TI11

The Western Europe qualifiers for The International 2022 may have been plagued by lag issues, but that didn’t stop Entity from dominating their way to Dota 2’s biggest stage. They defeated top teams like Alliance, Team Liquid, and Team Secret, going undefeated and securing their spot at TI11.

Unfortunately, the qualifiers were marred by technical problems and server issues that may have affected the outcome of some matches. Even Secret and Entity, the finalists, faced challenges due to lag and FPS struggles caused by the servers.

These issues were reported to Valve and PGL, but no solutions were provided. However, Valve did arrange for the finals to be played on WEU Luxembourg servers to avoid further server jumps and improve performance.

In the end, Entity proved to be the stronger team, winning the series against Secret 2-0. Secret struggled throughout the finals, showing signs of exhaustion after a long day of competition.

Entity’s victory in the qualifiers was well-deserved, but Valve and PGL’s handling of the online matches was disappointing. Hosting important matches online has once again raised concerns about server issues and technical problems.

What’s Next for Liquid and Secret?

Despite their difficulties, both Liquid and Secret still have a chance to make it to TI11. They will be competing in the TI11 Last Chance Qualifier in Singapore, where the second and third-place teams from each region’s qualifier will vie for the final two spots in the main event.

If Secret can tap into their LAN magic once again, Puppey, the team’s captain, will continue his streak of attending every TI since 2011. Secret will aim to improve on their third-place finish at TI10.
