Dota 2 Gameplay Update 7.32d: Impactful Changes Explained by Pros
Dota 2 fans received a gameplay update on Nov. 29 with patch 7.32d. Although the update included many minor tweaks, it was hard to identify the major changes at first glance. Fortunately, Dota 2 pros Qojqva and Tundra Esports’ Aui_2000 shared their insights on the most impactful changes in the update during their recent streams. Here’s what players can expect in their ranked matches.
One of the notable nerfs in 7.32d was Wraith Pact. The item’s effectiveness has now been reduced against physical damage sources, which means magic and pure damage dealers are unaffected.
Qojqva asked his chat whether they believed the nerf was sufficient to decrease the popularity of Wraith Pact, hoping it would become a niche option moving forward.
“You can probably build it against Faceless Void and zoo heroes now,” Qojqva said. “I think this item was so overpowered.”
Qojqva also pointed out that while Wraith Pact received a nerf, it was actually a buff for Leshrac, a sentiment echoed by Aui_2000.
Tundra’s coach explained the direct nerfs Leshrac received, which included a one-second cooldown for his ultimate ability. This change will make it more challenging for Leshrac to abuse Bloodstone mechanics. Although Leshrac may seem stronger on paper now, playing him has become more difficult. Pros will need to experiment to find the best way to utilize Leshrac.
Another nerf that caught Qojqva’s attention was Crystal Maiden. Known for her weak starting health, mana, and movement speed, Crystal Maiden’s mana aura was nerfed in 7.32d. This change affects her overall presence in the lane and map. Considering her fragile stats, Crystal Maiden heavily relies on providing utility with her spells, and she has been consistently weakened in recent patches.
