Tundra Esports Removes Fata from Dota 2 Roster

Tundra Esports Replaces Team Captain Fata After Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour

Tundra Esports, one of the top teams in Western Europe, is making a major change to its roster. Team captain and founder Fata has been kicked from the team following a disappointing performance at the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour Regional Final.

Despite its success throughout the Winter Tour, Tundra experienced internal drama that led to this decision. The team managed to outshine competitors such as OG, Nigma Galaxy, and Team Secret, maintaining its roster from the previous season. However, conflicts behind the scenes have resulted in Fata’s replacement.

In a recent tweet, Fata revealed that players on the team had previously attempted to remove other members from the roster in favor of the player who would eventually replace him. As captain, Fata declined these attempts, but he has now been replaced himself.

Tundra did not disclose this information in their official announcement, simply stating that Fata has been an important part of the team and that management wants to ensure the best possible chemistry moving forward.

Prior to this roster change, Tundra proudly boasted that its Dota roster was signed to some of the longest contracts in the competitive scene, lasting until 2024. Despite failing to qualify for Dota’s biggest event, The International 10, the team made no changes to the roster post-tournament.

Following his removal from the roster, Fata expressed uncertainty about his future in competitive Dota and hinted that he may take a break. He stated that he lacks the energy to start from scratch again after being kicked from the team he helped found.

Despite the change in leadership, Tundra will continue to compete in the upcoming second tour of the 2022 DPC season and other events. The team’s new captain will be announced soon.
